IWC Schaffhausen Automatic Ultra-thin Ref.3205

The IWC Ref. 3205 is a watch that falls into the category of rarity. Only about 3000 pieces were produced over the course of more than a decade. The main reason lies in the IWC Cal. 3254 movement, which was produced by JLC under a different name, JLC Cal. 889. At that time, IWC had to discontinue the production of in-house movements to save operating costs during the Quartz Crisis. JLC had to supply the Cal. 889 to other high-end watch brands like Audemars Piguet (notably for the AP RO 14790) and Vacheron Constantin (notably for the VC Overseas), and the shared supply source made the number of high-end IWC watches using the original JLC movement become very scarce.
