OMEGA reintroduced this historical essence in a stylish manner, commemorating 100 years since the debut of the 1894 caliber. This commemoration took place through the release of a series of limited editions, each comprising 100 watches, exclusively for the Japanese market in 1994. In contrast to OMEGA’s contemporary limited editions that we adore, the Centenary 1894 Limited Edition ref. 5950.51.01 aims to capture the vintage aesthetic of that era.

The uncomplicated 35mm red gold case showcases drilled lugs and a gently sloped, polished bezel. Encased within is the manual-wind caliber 269, notable for being among OMEGA’s final generation of movements with a 30mm diameter. The dial, with its dark appearance and rose gold hands & marker, injects an element of unexpected elegance into the timepiece.
