This Seiko Panda 6138 has become somewhat of a must-have in the collections of every serious Seiko collector.

While it may not be the initial Seiko automatic chronograph like the ref. 6139, this particular timepiece, the “Panda” ref. 6138-8021, is nearly as impressive, if not equally so. It epitomizes Seiko’s consistent ability to deliver exactly what is necessary without unnecessary embellishments. Representing a more understated approach among the early Seiko automatic chronographs, the “Panda” dial configuration introduces a subtle yet significant variation with slightly subdued sub-registers.
