This watch needs no further introduction. Vacheron Constantin 222 has become somewhat beyond the level of iconic.

A year following the introduction of the iconic Nautilus in 1977, Vacheron Constantin unveiled its own interpretation of an integrated bracelet sports watch – the 222. Crafted under the creative vision of Jörg Hysek, this timepiece was conceived to commemorate the manufacturer’s 222nd anniversary. The 222 graced the horological stage for a relatively concise period, spanning from 1977 to 1984.

Within this limited timeframe, the 222 collection was chiefly anchored by two quintessential models: the reference 44018, affectionately dubbed the “Jumbo,” and its counterpart, the reference 46003, a mid-sized iteration of the same captivating design. Approximately 700 ‘Jumbo’ specimens and 1,000 ‘mid-size’ counterparts were crafted across various precious metals, rendering these two iterations of the 222 all the more exceptional in their rarity. In striking contrast, both the Nautilus and the Royal Oak, formidable contenders in the integrated bracelet sports watch category, boasted substantially larger production volumes.

This watch comes with the original box & papers. The watch is in original and honest condition, with scratches on the case & bracelet. Truly a masterpiece for top collectors.
