Upon the initial release of the Reverso by Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1931, the watch did not have its own movement. In lieu of developing an in-house movement, the brand relied on Tavannes to provide the movement for the timepiece. Consequently, despite being relatively unknown to the general public, Jaeger-LeCoultre has garnered great admiration from collectors. As for the Tavannes “Clamshell” waterproof watch from the 1930s, it holds historical significance in its own right.
